20s/30s Brunch

Hi All -

We'll be gathering after the service this Sunday, October 18, for 20s/30s brunch. We'll head over to City Limits Diner (135 Harvard Ave, Stamford). Hope you can join us!

Also, First Fridays resumes in November. We'll gather at Meredith Dancause's home (100 Hoyt St #3C, Stamford) on Friday, November 6 for our monthly potluck dinner. Bring a dish to share and come connect with other young professionals!

Hi All –

Looking forward to the Fall, I am excited about all that is happening here at Trinity. Our 20s/30s Group has grown significantly, and it has been such a joy watching you all connect with one another.

My hope moving forward is that you would all take the opportunity to get further connected into the Trinity community. The congregation is so supportive of our group – and they really want to get to know you more. One great way to get to know others outside of the 20s/30s group is to attend one of the many mid-week offerings. It would be wonderful if you would get a few other people together and try out one of the classes or workshops this Fall. Here is a brief list of the activities for this Fall – a more extensive calendar will be handed out this Sunday.

20s/30s Gathering with New Lead Pastor Drew Williams

Hello Everyone!

I hope your summer has been sun-filled and relaxing! As you know, we at Trinity are so excited to welcome our new Lead Pastor, Drew Williams. Due to visa restrictions he won’t officially start on staff until October 1 – but the Williams family is here in Greenwich and hoping to spend his next month getting to know people in the congregation. This is where you all come in!

I will be hosting a 20s/30s dinner at my home so we can all get back together and catch up, as well as get to know Drew and his family. So, here are the details:

When: Sunday, August 30
Time: 6:00 p.m.
What: Dinner – bring a dish to share (think end of summer!)
Where: Dancause Home – 100 Hoyt St, Apt 3C, Stamford (dial 2001 to enter the building)

Please come and join us for a fun evening with Drew! If you are planning on coming, it would be ideal if you let me know, so we have an idea of how many to count on – but all are welcome! Remember to bring a dish to share, and come prepared for a good time!

20s/30s Brunch in July!

20s/30s brunch resumes this Sunday and runs all through the month of July!  This month we will be heading to The State Line Deli.  We'll gather after the service and head out together.

This is a casual time to get to know other young professionals!  Hope you can join us!

20s/30s Brunch

20s/30s brunch starts up again THIS SUNDAY (June 21) after the service!  We'll gather in the lobby after worship and head over to City Limits Diner in Stamford (exit 6 off 95-N).  If you think of it, bring cash to make paying the bill easier.  Feel free to bring a friend - this is a great opportunity to connect with other young professionals.

We'll also be having 20s/30s Brunch on the 21st and the 28th of June!

If you are interested in hosting a 20s/30s gathering this summer let Meredith or Christie know, and we'll be glad to help out however we can!

FIRST FRIDAYS is happening NEXT Friday, June 5th. 7-10pm at the Trinity House (15 Sherwood Place, Greenwich, CT). Potluck Dinner with the 20s/30s crowd, so bring a homemade dish or buy one if you aren't crafty in the kitchen or don't have the time and join us!



In June we will be having BRUNCH after the service on Sundays.

JUNE 14, 21, 28 we will be "brunching" together at City Limits Diner off exit 6 on I-95 after the Trinity Church service.

Just a quick reminder that the 20s/30s Conversation is tonight – 7:30-9:00 p.m. at the Trinity House (15 Sherwood Place, Greenwich).  I am sure that most of you have heard that Ian announced this past Sunday that he will be leaving Trinity Church on June 7, 2009.  If you have not gotten the chance to listen to his message it is available on the Trinity web site.  

I am happy to answer any questions you have as well as begin to imagine what this season of change might mean for Trinity Church.  I hope you can join me tonight.  We will be in the library, on the second floor, since the Council is meeting at the Trinity House as well.

Shrove Tuesday Tonight!

Join us tonight for a traditional pancake dinner in order to kick off the season of Lent!  We'll be gathering at The Dancause Home (100 Hoyt St. #3C, Stamford) - dial 2001 to enter the building.

Why a pancake dinner?  Lent means "spring" - and marks the season when the harvest is soon to come.  Traditionally all of the winter supplies would be used up before the fasting season of Lent begins - and then after Easter the new harvest would arrive.  So, in an act of faith and community (plus a little bit of fun) we will indulge in pancakes and conversation.

Meredith Dancause will be leading a two part interactive seminar exploring the practice of Fasting.  As we enter the season of Lent, come learn more about what can seem an intimidating practice.

In lieu of our usual Tuesday Conversation Meredith will be hosting a traditional pancake dinner.  This is a perfect way to kick-off the season of Lent.  Bring a friend and swing by.  To get into the building dial 2001 and then come up to the third floor.

Can you believe that January is almost over?  Crazy how time flies when we are having so much fun!  There are lots of opportunities to get connected with other young professionals at Trinity - we hope you can make it out to one or all of them.

Starting next week we are going to mix it up a little.  We will meet at the Trinity House as a large group from 7:30-8:30, and then we will head over to The Ginger Man on Greenwich Ave to have a more casual time together.

Just a reminder that we are meeting tonight to discuss the Sunday sermon!  Even if you weren't able to make it this past Sunday feel free to swing on by!  We'll be meeting on the second floor of the Trinity House 7:30-9:00 p.m.

Also, we will be changing the format of Tuesday Conversations starting in February!  We'll still gather at the Trinity House at 7:30 and meet as a large group for 45 mins to an hour.  Then we will head over to a local pub for more casual conversation!  Stay tuned for more details!
